Risk Transfer
Risk Transfer is given on all our contracts. The Terms
Of Business Agreement states "The Intermediary is authorized
to, and shall, collect Premiums and Insurance Premium Tax (IPT) from
the Insured on behalf of Underwriters."
The effect of this is that as soon as an intermediary receives premium from a client it is Underwriters' money and not the client's.
Furthermore we accept co-mingling of such monies with those of the clients and other underwriters.
We also subordinate claims on such monies to those of insureds.
We have no claim on any interest accruing to an intermediary arising out of the holding of such monies.
